The shop
Not open yet
There is nothing to sell you today, and I would rather say so plainly than put up a page pretending otherwise.
One day there will be a small shop here. Not a warehouse — a shelf. A few things I have made carefully and used long enough to know they are worth passing on.
I would rather it arrive late and be good than arrive quickly and be filler. Everything below is genuinely in progress, and the dates are honest guesses rather than promises.

What I’m making
-
The Beginner’s Sourdough Notes
A short printed guide — the version I wish someone had handed me eleven flat loaves ago. Written, being tested by four patient friends. Hoping for early spring.
-
Seed packets for small spaces
Varieties that genuinely do well in a pot on a windowsill, with sowing notes for South African seasons rather than northern ones. Still growing them out myself first.
-
A homemaking journal
Undated, cloth-bound, with room for the things I keep scribbling on the backs of envelopes. This one is furthest away.
First to know
Hear when the shelf fills
The same Sunday letter as everywhere else on this site — I will simply mention it there first. No separate list, no countdown timers, no urgency.
